Course Aims:
- To understand what disability is and what causes it
- To understand the biomedical and social models and how this relates to working with people with physical and learning disabilities
- To understand the history of people with learning disabilities and the contrasting current values of care
- To explore how equal opportunities relates to physical and learning disability
