Target Audience
All staff and volunteers who come into contact with children and families

Course Outline:
Experienced multi agency trainer will  provide single or multi agency input on: The Common Assessment Framework and it's remit and application including assessment skills, confidentiality and multi-disciplinary working practice.

Objectives
Delegates will be able to:

• Understand the CAF process
• Make assessments and pass on relevant information appropriately
• Be aware of issues around confidentiality and deal with these in an appropriate manner
• Engage  effectively with a child / young person
• Be aware of child protection thresholds and when and how to take further action
• Be aware of the multiagency approach and how they work within this

Duration: Half day awareness; 1 or 2 day courses for lead professionals

In line with DfES guidance courses for practitioners and managers.
