Load/Inanimate Moving and Handling - half day course
Target Audience:
Administration, clerical and non-client handling staff.
Aims:
- To enable delegates to identify and understand the relevant legislation relating to manual handling.
- To enable delegates to move inanimate objects safely without injuring themselves and others.
- To enable delegates to assess risk when involved in moving objects.
Objectives:
- A working knowledge of the relevant legislation.
- An understanding of the structure and function of the spine and how
- Good posture and movement will contribute to a healthy back.
- An understanding of the key safe principles of manual handling.
- An ability to assess risk and consider practical solutions when moving inanimate loads.
Max Nos: 8-10
Duration: half day, often run as 2 x half day on one day.
