Control of Substances Hazardous To Health (CoSHH)
Target Audience
All personnel who need to have knowledge of COSHH Regulations.
Aims:
- To enable Students to understand the current legislation (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health 2002)
- To be able to identify key issues appertaining to the carriage and transportation of hazardous substances in the workplace
- To enable the Student to understand the importance of record keeping in relation to making a CoSHH assessment and the keeping of a Register of all hazardous substances
- To enable the Student to understand the relationship between various substances that may be encountered in the workplace and how, by ingestion, inhalation, absorption or injection, disease or allergies may arise

Objectives:
- On completion of the course the Student will have an understanding of the possible causes of ill-health in the workplace and accident prevention in relation to hazardous substances
- The Student will understand the importance of correct record keeping and of following an employer's Code of Practice
- The course will also highlight the importance of training in relation to the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
