Two-Day Paediatric Emergency First Aid For Children And Babies
Course Overview:
This course is designed for any person responsible for caring for children in the absence of their parents.
This programme meets the Health & Safety Executive recommendations for Appointed Persons in the Workplace.
Aims:
- The course covers how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving babies and young children and will teach delegates how to recognise and manage appropriately the following situations should they arise.
- Training will cover appropriate contents of First Aid kit for babies and children
- Resuscitation and other equipment should include baby and junior models where appropriate
- Training will include recording accidents and incidents

- Module 15 Childhood Conditions

- Croup
- Sickle Cell
- Meningitis
- Febrile Convulsions
- Imbalance of Heat Hypothermia and Heat Exhaustion
- Nose Bleeds
- Allergic reactions including Anaphylaxia
Certification: For 3 years, upon full participation of all practical aspects of the session
