Effective Report Writing
Course Overview
This course examines the different ways in which reports can be
written. We identify many of the common problems with reports,
and then look at the skills that are needed before, during and after a
report is written. Attention is paid to policy and legislative
requirements and to data protection. Learners will be given
examples of good and bad reports to critique.

This course should benefit workers and managers alike; writing
reports can be a challenging job, but this training seeks to show
people how to avoid 'flannel' and be succinct and concise while at the
same time not omitting required details. Reports that can be
looked at include service user case notes, accident and incident
reports, supervision records, funding bids, and assessments.
