suitable for any individual, group, or organisation, wishing to improve
communication when dealing with conflict.

Half a day or one full day.
Course Suitable for:
People whose work regularly involves
them in conversations that are difficult or upsetting. The course will
help them manage such conversations more effectively and with more confidence.
Aims
The course aims to develop:
- Awareness of individuals and their own particular communication style and its impact upon others;
- Practical strategies for reducing conflict;
- Key communication skills;
- How not to become part of the problem.

- How to talk so others will listen
- The importance of setting the scene, timing and personal presentation
- Coming to agreement
- When to compromise – and when not to
- A checklist of essential skills
- Recording the decision so parties stick to it
- Ethics and the importance of values

Methodology
A mixture of presentations, DVDs and
exercises. Participants will learn about various tools and techniques and then
have an opportunity to practice using them during the training.
