Level 5 NVQ Diploma in Management

The Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People's Services replaces and combines the level 4 NVQ Leadership and Management in Care Services and level 4 NVQ Health and Social Care qualifications to offer a hybrid qualification. The new combined qualification will have the same mandatory units across that used to be two separate qualifications. There is the option of six pathways offering individuals the opportunity to tailor the qualification to their job role:

Management of Adult Services
Management of Adult Residential Services
Practice in Adult Services
Management of Children and Young People's Services
Management of Children and Young People's Residential Services
Practice in Children and Young People's Services

Target Audience: This qualification is aimed at those with personal responsibility and autonomy in their role and who may find that the focus of their work is more to do with managing projects, or technical matters, than people.

This qualification recognises the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace and provides individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate the competence needed for a career as a senior manager. The units encompass a broad range of competencies from the management and leadership sector

Candidates studying in preparation for employment in Management and Leadership
Candidates wishing to gain a Level 5 qualification to support further study in Further Education (FE) and Higher Education (HE) in Management and Leadership
Candidates wishing to gain a Level 5 qualification to support further study in FE or Higher Education (HE) in any other sector or subject area
